Publish on Social Media connects your business websites and blog posts to your social media accounts. Paste a URL or write directly, let AI generate platform-specific copy and format the media, then publish to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, and Google Business in one click.

Quick Start

From a fresh install to your first published post, step by step.

Step 1, Download and install the connector plugin

The connector plugin lets the app read your WordPress content (posts, pages, tours) and receive your site's images. Without it the app can still post manually, but it cannot browse or import from your site.

Download connector plugin (ZIP)

To install it on WordPress:

  1. 1 In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Add New Plugin.
  2. 2 Click Upload Plugin at the top.
  3. 3 Choose the ZIP file you just downloaded and click Install Now.
  4. 4 Click Activate Plugin when the install finishes.
The plugin is read-only. It never modifies your site, never writes to your database, and has no effect on your visitors.

Step 2, Create a WordPress Application Password

The app uses a WordPress Application Password to authenticate. This is a separate credential from your login password, you can revoke it at any time without changing your main password.

  1. 1 In WordPress admin, go to Users → Profile (or edit your user).
  2. 2 Scroll down to the Application Passwords section.
  3. 3 Enter a name (e.g. "Publish on Social Media") and click Add New Application Password.
  4. 4 Copy the password that appears, it is only shown once.
Application Passwords require WordPress 5.6 or higher and HTTPS on your site. If the section is missing, check that your site uses HTTPS or that Application Passwords have not been disabled by a security plugin.

Step 3, Add your site in the app

  1. 1 Open your workspace and find the Websites section in the sidebar.
  2. 2 Click + Add.
  3. 3 Enter your site URL (e.g. https://example.com), your WordPress username, and the Application Password you just created.
  4. 4 Click Save. The app connects to your site and verifies the credentials.

Step 4, Connect a social account

In the Social accounts section of your workspace, click the platform you want to connect. An authorisation window opens. Log in to the platform and grant access. The account appears as Connected when done.

Step 5, Create your first post

Click Browse on your site, find an article or tour, and click Use this article. AI generates captions for each platform. Choose your media, review the copy, and hit Post now, or pick a date and time and click Add to planner to schedule it.

Getting Started

From sign-up to your first published post in a few minutes.

How the app is organised

Everything in the app lives inside a Workspace. A workspace represents one business or brand. It holds your connected social accounts, your brand fonts, your linked websites, and all the posts you create. If you manage multiple brands, create a separate workspace for each one.

Your first post

  1. 1 Open your workspace and make sure at least one social account is connected. If not, see the Connecting Accounts tab first.
  2. 2 To post from a website article, click a site in the Websites section, browse to the article, and click Use this article. To write directly, click Create post at the top of the workspace.
  3. 3 The draft screen opens. AI automatically generates platform-specific captions, titles, and hashtags for each connected platform.
  4. 4 Toggle on the platforms you want to publish to. Review and edit the copy and choose a media format for each platform.
  5. 5 Click Post now on a platform card to publish immediately, or pick a date and time and click Add to planner to have the app post automatically at that moment.
You can post to some platforms now and come back later for the rest. The draft stays saved until you delete it.

Workspaces

The main dashboard shows all your workspaces. Click one to open it. Each workspace has independent social accounts, websites, brand fonts, and post history. Brand fonts (title and body) are set per workspace and applied to all generated media inside it.

Connecting Social Accounts

Connect your social profiles so the app can publish on your behalf.

Connectors and slots

Each social account connection occupies a connector slot. A slot is a persistent link between the app and one social profile. Your plan determines how many slots you have. Slots are platform-neutral, mix and match Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, and Google Business however you need.

Supported platforms

Instagram Facebook LinkedIn TikTok YouTube Google Business

How to connect a platform

  1. 1 Open your workspace. In the Social accounts panel, if you have available slots, a Connect row shows platform buttons.
  2. 2 Click the platform you want to add.
  3. 3 An authorisation window opens through Zernio, our secure publishing partner. Log in to the platform and grant access.
  4. 4 When done the window closes and the account appears as Connected.
No Connect row? You have used all your slots. Upgrade your plan or disconnect an account you no longer need to free a slot.

Reconnecting a disconnected account

Social platforms expire access tokens periodically, typically every 60 to 90 days. When this happens the account shows as Disconnected with a slot locked badge. Click Reconnect and complete the authorisation again. This does not use up an additional slot.

Slot lock

A disconnected slot stays locked to its platform. This prevents accidental reassignment. If the original account no longer exists and you need to reassign the slot to a different platform, submit a change request from the Support tab.

Syncing accounts

Use the Sync button in the Social accounts panel to pull the latest account state from Zernio. Useful if a newly connected account does not appear immediately.

Creating Posts

Start from a website article or write directly, AI handles the platform-specific copy.

From a website article

  1. 1 Open your workspace and click a site in the Websites section.
  2. 2 Navigate to the article or page you want to promote.
  3. 3 Click Use this article. The app extracts the title, body text, and images.
  4. 4 AI generates captions and copy for each connected platform.

Direct post (no URL)

  1. 1 Click Create post in the workspace view.
  2. 2 Write your content. AI generates platform-specific copy from what you write.
  3. 3 Upload images or generate artwork on the draft screen.

The draft screen

The draft screen shows one platform card per connected platform. Each card has:

Platform toggle Activate or deactivate this platform for the current post. Only active platforms get published.
Format cards Choose the media aspect ratio. Square, portrait, landscape, story, or reel depending on the platform.
Copy fields Caption, title, description, and hashtags per platform. Edit freely. Click ↺ to regenerate with AI.
Post button Publishes immediately to the connected account on that platform.
If a platform card shows Connect account instead of Activate, no social account is connected for that platform yet. Click the button to go to the workspace and connect one.

Formats & Media

Format cards, uploading files, route maps, and AI-generated artwork.

Format cards

Each platform supports a set of aspect ratios for its media. Format cards show the available options for that platform. The selected format determines how images are cropped and presented.

Square (1:1)Works on all platforms. Safe default when in doubt.
Portrait (4:5)Tall format. Best for Instagram feed and Facebook.
Landscape (16:9)Wide format. Best for YouTube thumbnails and Facebook covers.
Story / Reel (9:16)Full vertical. Best for Instagram Stories, Reels, and TikTok.

Uploading media

Click the upload area on a format card to pick a file from your device. Supported formats: JPEG, PNG, GIF, MP4, MOV. You can also drag and drop onto the upload area. Images are cropped to the selected format ratio.

Route maps

If your article has a geographic context, a tour, a hike, a travel itinerary, the app can generate a map image showing the route or location. Open the Maps panel on the draft screen. Use the style selector to switch between street, satellite, outdoor, and other map styles.

Vintage AI map

The Vintage map button uses an AI image model to transform a route map into a decorative illustrated or vintage-style artwork. Generation takes 30-90 seconds and deducts a small credit amount. Generated maps are saved to the post and can be assigned to any format card.

AI posters

The AI poster generator creates a styled social media image from the article's text and images. Choose a model and the system generates a ready-to-use image. Like vintage maps, posters are saved per post and available for any format.

Generated maps and AI posters are saved permanently with the post. Generate multiple versions and pick the one that works best for each platform.

FAQ

Quick answers to the questions that come up most often.

Can I try the app without paying?

Yes. You can create posts, generate copy, and explore the draft screen for free. Publishing to social media requires at least one active connector slot, which requires a subscription.

How many social accounts can I connect?

This depends on your plan. Each connector slot holds one social account. Upgrade your plan to add more slots. Slots work across all platforms, mix Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and others freely.

Do I need to reconnect accounts regularly?

Social platforms expire access tokens periodically, typically every 60 to 90 days. When this happens the account shows as Disconnected. Click Reconnect and complete the authorisation to restore access. This does not use a new slot.

What happens to a slot when I disconnect an account?

The slot stays locked to that platform. It cannot be reassigned to a different platform without a support request. If the original account no longer exists, use the Support tab to submit a slot change request.

Can I have multiple workspaces?

Yes. Each workspace is independent, its own social accounts, websites, fonts, and post history. Use separate workspaces for different brands or clients.

Does the app post immediately or can I schedule?

Both. The Post now button publishes immediately. The Add to planner button queues the post for automatic publishing at the date and time you set. The planner runs in the background and fires the post without any further action from you.

What is Zernio?

Zernio is the publishing infrastructure that handles OAuth connections to social platforms. When you connect an account, the authorisation goes through Zernio's secure system. We never store your platform passwords.

Can I post the same post to multiple platforms?

Yes. The draft screen shows all connected platforms at once. Activate the ones you want, adjust copy and media per platform, and post to all of them from the same draft. Each platform gets tailored copy.

Do AI maps and posters cost extra?

Standard route maps are always free. AI-generated artwork (vintage maps, FAL posters, Placid template posters) carries a small per-generation charge. See the Pricing tab for current rates.

Can I delete a post and its media?

Yes. Deleting a post removes all generated images and uploaded files from the server. Posts already published to a platform stay there, delete them on that platform separately.
